സ്സലിവിന്റെ ഫലത്തിന്നു ദൃഷ്ടാന്തമത്രെ. അവൻ ചതിയനും, കടക്കാർ
അവന്റെ ചതിയിൽ കൂടുന്നവരും, യജമാനൻ അവന്റെ ബുദ്ധിയെ
സ്തുതിക്കുന്നവനും ആകയാൽ ഇവർ ഒക്കയും ഇഹലോകക്കാരായ്വിളങ്ങുന്നു.
എങ്കിലും വെളിച്ചമക്കൾ അവരുടെ ബുദ്ധിയെ ഗ്രഹിച്ചു തങ്ങളുടെ ജാതിക്കു
തക്കവണ്ണം പ്രയോഗിപ്പാൻ നോക്കെണം. മാമ്മോൻ എന്നതു ധനലാഭം. പ
ണം നല്ലവരുടെ കയ്യിലും ഒരുവക കള്ള ദേവനായി ചമകയാൽ അവർ അതി
നെ വെക്കാതെ നല്ലകാൎയ്യത്തിന്നായി ചെലവിടെണം; എങ്ങിനെ എന്നാൽ
ഈ അഴിയുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു കനിവു കാണിച്ചാൽ അഴിയുന്നതിന്നു പകര
മായി അഴിയാത്തതു നല്കുന്ന ചങ്ങാതിമാർ ലഭിക്കും. ഉപമയിലേ യജമാനൻ
മാമ്മോൻ അത്രെ (൧൩). മുതലുള്ളവൻ എല്ലാം മാമ്മോന്റെ കലവറക്കാരൻ.
സാക്ഷാൽ അഹങ്കാരാദികളെ ജനിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ധനത്തെ സ്നേഹത്തിന്നായി
ചെലവിട്ടാൽ നല്ലൊരു സ്വാമിദ്രോഹം തന്നെ. അതിനാൽ ദരിദ്രനായി പോ
കും എന്നു നിരൂപിക്കരുതു; കരുണെക്കായി മുടിയനായി പോയാലും ദേവരാജ്യ
ത്തിൽ കുറവില്ല. പണകാൎയ്യത്തിൽ ദൈവത്തിന്നു വിശ്വസ്തനല്ലാത്തവനോ
തനിക്കു വിധിച്ച നിത്യമുതലിനെ ഒരു നാളും അടക്കുകയില്ല.
