MARK I. 14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

സ്നാപകനെ വരുത്തി സംസാരിച്ചു, യോഹനാനും വല്ല പുതുമകളെ അല്ല
ഇടപ്രഭുവിന്റെ വ്യഭിചാരദോഷം (ഭാഗം. ൬൬; മാ. ൬, ൧൮) മുതലായ പ്രസി
ദ്ധദുഷ്കൎമ്മങ്ങളെ (ലൂക്ക, ൩, ൧൯) ആക്ഷേപിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു. ഉടനെ രാജാവ്
ക്രുദ്ധിച്ചു ഇതു മത്സരം എന്നു നിരൂപിച്ചു, ഇവൻ പ്രജകളെ എന്റെ നേരെ
ഇളക്കുവാൻ മതി എന്നു നടിച്ചു അവനെ അടുക്കെ മകൈർ എന്ന പാറക്കോ
ട്ടയിൽ തടവിൽ ആക്കിച്ചു. അതിനാൽ യരുശലേമിലേ പ്രധാനികളും ഉള്ളിൽ
സന്തോഷിച്ചു എന്ന് ഊഹിക്കാം. യേശുവോ അഗ്രേസരന്റെ വേലെക്കു
സമാപ്തി വന്ന പ്രകാരം കേട്ടിട്ടു താമസിയാതെ അനുതാപപ്രസംഗാദിപ്രവ
ൎത്തനം ഗലീലയിൽ ആരംഭിപ്പതിന്നു സമയമായി എന്നു ഗ്രഹിച്ചു (മത്താ.
മാൎക്ക) ഉടനെ അതിന്നായി പുറപ്പെട്ടു ചില പള്ളികളിൽ ഉപദേശിച്ചു തുടങ്ങി.
ഗലീലക്കാർ യരുശലേമിൽ കണ്ടതും മറ്റും ഓൎത്തു അവനെ സന്തോഷത്തോ
ടെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുകയും ചെയ്തു. ശിഷ്യന്മാരോ അന്നു താന്താങ്ങടെ വീടുകളിൽ
പോയി എന്നു തോന്നുന്നു (§ ൬൩).

പ്രവാചകന്നു പിതൃദേശത്തിൽ മാനം ഏറെയില്ല എന്ന് അറിഞ്ഞതു
കൊണ്ടത്രെ യേശു ഗലീലെക്കു ചെന്നു എന്നതു (യോ. ൪, ൪൩-൪൪) എത്ര
യോ വിപരീതമായി തോന്നുന്നുണ്ടു. യേശുവിന്റെ പിതൃദേശം ഗലീല അ
ല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊന്നും അല്ലല്ലോ. എന്നിട്ടും പ്രവാചകന്നു പിതൃദേശത്തിൽ മാനം
ഏറെ കിട്ടാൻ ഇല്ല എന്ന ന്യായത്തെ അറിഞ്ഞ സംഗതിയാലെ യേശു ഗ
ലീലയിൽ വന്നു കുടിയേറി എന്നു ചൊല്വത് എങ്ങിനെ. വിഷമമായ ൟ
വാക്കിന്റെ താൽപൎയ്യം ആവിതു: അയല്വക്കത്ത് ജനിച്ചും വളൎന്നുംകൊണ്ട
വരുടെ ഹീനത ഒക്കയും നമുക്കു ആവോളം ബോധിക്കകൊണ്ടും മുഖപരി
ചയം ഇല്ലാത്ത പരദേശികളുടെ ഊനക്കുറവുകൾ ക്ഷണത്തിൽ ബോധി
ക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടും മാനയോഗ്യനായ അയല്ക്കാരനിലും അധികം ഗുണാഗുണ
ങ്ങൾ ഒന്നും തിരിയാത്ത അന്യനെ ബഹുമാനിക്കുന്നതു ലോകപതിവായ ഒർ
