ന്നെ എന്നതിനെ കുറിച്ചു § ൬൫ലേ സൂചകത്തെ ഒത്തു നോക്ക. ഗലീലപ്ര
യാണവിവരങ്ങൾ അടങ്ങുന്ന ആ രണ്ടാം വൃത്താന്തമാലയുടെ (§§ ൭൯—
൮൬) ആരംഭം ഇതു തന്നെ. ഒന്നാം വൃത്താന്തമാലയിൽ (§§ ൬൫—൭൮) വി
ശേഷാൽ കഫൎന്നഹൂമിൽ തന്നെ നടന്ന കൎത്തൃവേല വൎണ്ണിച്ചിരിക്കേ ഇനി
മേലാൽ ഊർസഞ്ചാരമേ പ്രധാനം. പൎവ്വതപ്രസംഗത്തിൽ പിന്നെ യേശു
തിരികെ സ്വപട്ടണത്തിൽ വന്നു ചില അതിശയങ്ങളെ ചെയ്തെങ്കിലും ഒരേക
ദിവസത്തിൽ അധികം അവിടെ പാൎപ്പാൻ മനസ്സില്ലാതേയും ശിഷ്യരുടെ
അപേക്ഷയെ കൂട്ടാക്കാതേയും ക്ഷണത്തിൽ പുതു പ്രയാണത്തിന്നു പുറ
പ്പെട്ടു എന്നു കേൾ്ക്കുന്നു (§ ൮൬).

എന്നാൽ നചറത്തെ വിട്ടിട്ടു യേശു ഗലീലയിൽ ഊരും നാടും കടന്നു ദേവ
രാജ്യം ആരംഭിച്ചു എന്നു പള്ളിതോറും ഘോഷിച്ചു പല ബാധാരോഗശാന്തി
കളാലും വചനത്തെ പ്രമാണിപ്പിച്ചു, സുറിയ നാട് എങ്ങും കീൎത്തിതനായി,
ഗലീല ദശപുരി * യരുശലെം യഹൂദ പരായ്യ മുതലായ ദേശങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും ജ
നങ്ങൾ വന്നു കൂടി ചെല്ലുകയും ചെയ്തു.

A NIGHT IN PRAYER ON THE MOUNT. THE TWELVE CHOSEN.

പൎവ്വതത്തിലേ പ്രാൎത്ഥനയും പന്തിരുവരെ വരിച്ചതും.

MATT.V. 1 And seeing the mul- titudes, he went up into a mount- ain: and when he was set, his disci- ples came unto him:

MARK III. 13 And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto him whom he would: and they came un to him. 14 And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach, 15 And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils: 16 And Simon he surnamed Peter: 17 And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder: 18 And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphæus, and Thaddæus, and Simon the Canaanite. 19 And Judas Iscariot, which also betrayed him: . . .

LUKE VI. 12 And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. 13 And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles; 14 Simon, (whom he also named Peter,) and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew, 15 Matthew and Thomas, James the son of Alphæus, and Simon called Zelotes, 16 And Judas the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor. 17 And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, . . .

രികത്തുള്ള താണപ്രദേശത്തെ വിട്ടു പടിഞ്ഞാറെ മലനാട്ടിൽ ചെന്നു (മത്ത.
മാൎക്ക.). ഇന്ന ദിക്കു എന്നു സുവിശേഷത്തിൽ കേൾക്കുന്നില്ല; എന്നാൽ അതു

ഫിലിപ്പിന്റെ ഇടവകയിൽ തന്നെ. അവറ്റിന്നു ദമഷ്കിനോടും ഒരു വിധമായ ചേൎച്ച ഉണ്ടായി.
