ധാരാപുരത്ത ഒരു ബ്രാഹ്മണൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു ഒരുനാൾ
അവൻ പൂക്കളും പഴങ്ങളും പറിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുവരുവാൻ കാട്ടിലെ
ക്ക പൊയി. അപ്പൊൾ അവിടെ ഒരു പുലി വന്നു ആ ബ്രാ
ഹ്മണൻ ആ പുലിയെ കണ്ട വളരെ ഭയപ്പെട്ട ഒഴിഞ്ഞു പൊ
രെണമെന്ന വെച്ച പ്രയത്നം ചെയ്തു. എങ്കിലും പുലി പാഞ്ഞ
എത്തി അവനെപ്പിടിച്ചു. ആ വയിധരണയിൽ ആ ബ്രാഹ്മ
ണൻ പുലിയെ നൊക്കി നീ എന്റെ മെൽ ദയ ചെയ്ത മൂന്നു
ദിവസം വരെ എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ ഇളവ ചെയ്താൽ ഞാൻ
വീട്ടിലെക്ക പൊയി എന്റെ കാൎയ്യം എല്ലാം ഒതുക്കി എന്റെ ബ
ന്ധുക്കളൊട പറഞ്ഞു അനുവാദം വാങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ടവരാമെന്ന പ
