A Sanscrit particle, which signifies, over, above, upon, &c., and when prefixed to words derived from that language, expresses excess or superiority, in rank, place, degree, or quality. അധികം, &c. adj. Much; more; excessive; extra; su- perior; great. അധികത, യുടെ. s. Excess, (superiority, greatness) superfluity, exuberance.
