3rd. Causal verbs require an accusative;31 as,
ഞാൻ പുസ്തകം വായിപ്പിച്ചു.
I caused the book to be read.
ഞാൻ അവനെ കൊണ്ട ശത്രുവിനെ കൊല്ലിച്ചു.
I caused the enemy to be slain by him.
വിഷ്ണു സകല ജനങ്ങളെയും അവനെ കൊണ്ട ഭരിപ്പിച്ചു.
Vishnoo reigned by him over all people.
അവൻ ൟ ആളിനെ കൊണ്ട അവളെ അടിപ്പിച്ചു.
He caused this person to beat her.
4th. Sentences in which the accusative case is governed by a verbal
personal noun may be rendered into English by our phrases, lover of God,
doer of evil, &c; thus,
ദൈവത്തെ സ്നെഹിക്കുന്നവൻ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ.
The lover of God is blessed; lit. He who loveth God is a blessed, or
happy person.
ആകാശത്തെയും ഭൂമിയെയും സൃഷ്ടിച്ചവനിൽ ഞാൻ
ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നു.
I trust in the Creator of Heaven and Earth.
വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ സെവിക്കുന്നവൎക്കും ദ്രവ്യത്തെ ആഗ്രഹി
ക്കുന്നവൎക്കും അനുതാപം കൂടാതെ മൊക്ഷം കിട്ടുകയില്ല.
Neither the worshippers of images nor the lovers of money, will obtain
heaven without repentance.
അകൃത്യത്തെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കുന്നവൻ ശിക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടാതെ
ഇരിക്കയില്ല.

32. When in English one or more nouns, governed by the preposition
of, follows a verb; if such preposition can be rendered in English by
about or concerning, the noun must be put into the Malayalim accusative,
and governed by the particle കുറിച്ച; as,
അവൻ ആ കാൎയ്യത്തെ കുറിച്ച സംസാരിച്ചു.
He spoke of that affair.
ആ മനുഷ്യന്റെ നന്മയെകുറിച്ച അവർ അവനൊട പറഞ്ഞു.
They told him of the goodness of that man.
ആ പുരുഷനെയും ആ സ്ത്രിയെയും കുറിച്ച അവൻ പറഞ്ഞത താൻ കെട്ടിട്ടു
ണ്ടൊ?
Have you heard what he said of that man and woman.
