6. പുരുഷനാമങ്ങൾ THE RELATIVE NOUNS.
702. a.) Masculine and Feminine Relative Nouns are found now and then എന്നവൻ, എന്നവൾ (-ആയവൻ ആയവൾ എന്നവപോലെ-) അപ്പപ്പോൾ പ്രയോഗിച്ചു കാണുന്നു. (669, 1, a.)
ഉ-ം വന്നിരക്കുന്നവർ എന്നവരെയും കൊല്ലുമോ (കേ. രാ. does one also kill suppliants?) രുരു എന്നവൻ (ഭാര=രുരുനാമാവ്.)
b.) but the Neuter is as readily used as ആയതു—"എന്നതു"(—669. 670. ആയതു എന്ന പോലെ—) എത്രയും നടുപ്പു (669, b. കാണ്ക 682—684 ഉപ.)
1. നിൎണ്ണയാദി നാമങ്ങളോടു 684, 1. ധന്യയാം f. കാണ്ക.
2. As Quotation പരകഥനത്തിൽ 685. ഉ-ം ഒരു മറുവില്ലെന്നതു വരാ (ഭാര. it is not the case, that it is quite spotless, as you say).
3. Weaker than ആയതു in its demonstrative power മുഴുവാചകത്തിൻ അടക്കത്തെ ഓൎമ്മപെടുത്തുന്നു; 670 "ആയതു" എന്നതിൽ ബലം കുറഞ്ഞചൂണ്ടുപേർ എന്നു ചൊല്ലാം. ഉ-ം വാനവർ എല്ലാവരും എന്നതു കേട്ടപ്പോൾ (കൃ. ഗാ. when they had heard words to that import). എന്നതു പോരാ ഗുണശീലത വേണം (പദ്യം 782. (അതു=that, എന്നതു that, which was sounded, എന്നിവറ്റിന്നുള്ള ഭേദാഭേങ്ങളെ തൂക്കിനോക്കീട്ടു. എന്നതു=അതു f എടുക്കേണ്ടു.
4. Uniting with Terms of Cause (404, 3.) കാരണാവാചികളോടു നില്ക്കും. ഉ-ം എന്നതുകൊണ്ടു കടിച്ചു ഞാൻ (നള. after that, by that) എന്നതു നിമിത്തമായി (ഭാര.=ആയതുകൊണ്ടു) മുതലായവ.
5. As conjunction ഉഭയാന്വയീകം. ഉ-ം എന്നതിൽപിന്നെ, എന്നതിൻ്റെശേഷം (after that, then).
6. In its original meaning, combining with the absolute case, we may say; to ask or give an explanation about any thing മൂലാൎത്ഥത്തോടു യാതൊന്നിൻ്റെ വ്യാഖ്യാനത്തെ ചോദിപ്പാനും കൊടുപ്പാനും തന്നേ. ഉ-ം മരം എന്നതു. അതു എന്നതു പരൻ (തത്വ. "That which sounded, or has the sound of അതു"=The word "അതു" signifies God) 703, a. ഉപ.
ഞാൻ എന്നതു ഏതു? (കൈ. ന. "which is that, sounding I"?= Which is I?) മരം എന്നതു എന്തു? ("What is that implied in M."=What is a tree?)
"പോ" എന്നതി‌ൻകാരണം (പദ്യം. the ground for his saying go") മുതലായ പദങ്ങൾ.
