Carelessness and idleness are the causes of great mis—
fortune. The merchant has sold his merchandise and
also his ware—house. I do not court him, nor is he over—
polite to me. The fellow will not pay his debts, neither
will he acknowledge them. Our servant is very faithful,
besides he is a man who thoroughly understands his work.
